McDonalds Sunday, Store 5490 wins slowest service award 2010
So as part of my “health food” regime I decided to go to McDonalds #5490 located at 5725 Dry Creek Lane, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I arrived there at 10:21 AM and was told that they were serving breakfast.
So I ordered the Big breakfast with hotcakes. 15 minutes later the manager realizes that I do not have any food. She asks the kitchen how much longer only to find out that they had not even started making it yet! Luckily for them I am a very patient person.
So the manager goes back behind the kitchen area and throws some pancakes and a biscut with some bacon on a plate and tells me that she will bring out the sausage and hashbrowns. So I sit down and eat the above items, then sip my coffee until it runs out. I go back to get more coffee and ask if they ever got the sausage done. The same manager looks about and then goes to the back where she produces two cold sausage patties and two hash browns that looked like they had been cooked 12 times or so, for time reference this was about 10:55 AM. They had stopped cooking breakfast at 10:30, so most likely the sausages had been sitting out waiting to be tossed in the trash for about 20 minutes or so. For all I know they had been in the trash!
Needless to say I did not eat them, although I was still hungry enough to do so. Anyways if you are ever on Dry Creek Lane NE in Cedar Rapids, Iowa I suggest you just keep on moving past the McDonalds as you will not get any service there. On the way out I noticed that they did have a help wanted sign. At the time of this incident there were 10 people working in the store and only about 4 customers inside. Also the drive through only had about one car in it at a time.

Writing on Saturday
Well another Saturday is here and I find myself writing yet again. I think that writing is one of the most soothing activites that I have developed to keep myself busy. It is very cost effective needing only a place to sit and the resolve to continue when others would have gone home.
I have found that many coffee shops actually want people to come and write at their establishments. This is a good thing, now if they only offered free coffee. But a cup ‘o joe is a small price to pay for the comfort of an air conditioned booth and music to write by. Plus the occasional conversation that follows public writing can be very stimulating as well.
WoW Thursdays
Well I am getting ready for our weekly raids in the World of Warcraft. I have a level 80 Hunter and a Level 80 Paladin that I play in our guild. I find that this game takes up most of my time and keeps me from spending too much money.
Well the cataclysm update is due out sometime soon, hopefully. I think that all who play this fun game are looking forward to the new changes. Although with change comes a new learning curve as we all will learn the new rules.
Anyways, if you play WOW let me know and I will add you to my friends list in the game.
Dirty PC. I cleaned my servers today, this one had been operating for 5 years non stop. I used a can of air and a half to clean it, but it is running 10 degrees cooler now.
